The Saga Continues...
Bailey v. New York Law School et al.
"You're in the system." Said the woman at the crises center. "You've been assaulted before."
The U.S. legal system is an ugly game easily bested by big dollars and corporate interests. Sorry to burst your bubble.
You need only look at my complexion, skin, and hair to see that I've been fighting in court for two years. Only most can't see that: they expect that because I am a woman of color I would naturally show signs of degradation, wear and tear. But it isn't natural for me.
The good news: it's temporary
We fight so that other women will not have to tell this same story. And we will overcome.
And oh how I wish Bella Caveat was operational right now.
Bella Caveat handles crises like 1, 2, #solved - and that's why we're taking the extra time to ensure we introduce and maintain a quality product.

Finally. I have long awaited this day.
Not long from now, in a week or so, I will delete my personal Facebook account. And I have long awaited this day. At least from the time that I mentioned that I had been assaulted on New York Law School's campus by Stephen Nesbit in 2014, and Howard Meyers--lawyer, professor, and esteemed member of New York Law School--demanded that I remove all social media references to the assault, on behalf of New York Law School's Harassment and Discrimination Review Board, then comprised of Howard Meyers, Erika Wood, and Jeffery Becherer, all employees of New York Law School.
I didn't choose the martyr life
So, we borrowed from quotes most beautiful from across the globe....
(because women's rights, civil rights, human rights, state and federal law, the U.S. Constitution - for us, it's self explanatory)
"Their victims never had any appeals, nor did their tormentors have any mercy. Consequently these perpetrators don't deserve either." (re: justice for Holocaust victims)
"Democracy...does not mean that minorities can be exploited for the majority's satisfaction." (re: justice for persecuted Rohingya)
"We receive authorities' inaction as tacit consent for hatred directed towards the Jewish community and call upon Polish leadership to punish those whose actions threaten our well-being. As representatives of Polish Jewish organizations, we call on public institutions, police, media outlets, schools, and members of the Polish public to combat anti-Semitism." (re: justice for Jews in Poland)
"Your behavior was cunning, persistent, manipulative and cruel." (from a judicial sentence handed down in Birmingham, the United Kingdom)
"We will continue to demand the resignations of every individual who either participated in the abuse of women or stood by and was complicit by failing to conduct proper due diligence, as legally required...we expect that no new board members will be appointed until every implicated board member has resigned." (re: beauty pageant contestants addressing their overseeing organization)
"The criminal actions he is accused of conducting on the bodies of these women are his responsibility, and if there is any justice left in the system he will pay for them - regardless of how many good movies, made by many good people, Harvey was lucky to enough to have acquired or financed." (re: American actress on Harvey Weinstein)
Why do these U.S. individuals believe that they are exempt?
